Using the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which is also featured in the standard Vantage model of Aston Martin, Roadster also produces 510 horsepower (375 kW) and 685 Nm of torque. The convertible model, which no longer has “Volante” in its name, transfers power to the rear wheels with the 8-speed ZF transmission. The acceleration value of 0-60mph, which is 3.5 seconds in the standard Vantage, was announced as 3.7 seconds in the 2021 Vantage Roadster.
The new Vantage Roadster has the world’s fastest opening roof with its lightweight and special roof mechanism called “Z-Fold”. The roof of the car opens in just 6.7 seconds and closes in 6.8 seconds. Openable roof mechanism can be used up to 50 km / h. And speaking of speed, the Vantage Roadster can hit 190 mph flat out (306 kmh). Vantage Roadster has an extra support part due to its collapsible roof. It also has the same adaptive suspension, torque steering and electronic rear differential as the standard coupe model. The car also offers 3 driving modes: Sport, Sport + and Track.
Celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, the entire Vantage family has been updated for 2021. Both Roadster and standard Vantage can be purchased with the wing-style front grille, which refers to classic Aston Martin cars as an option. On the other hand, besides new wheels and color options, the 7-speed manual transmission option, which was formerly exclusive to AMR, was also offered as an innovation.
